Forgiving yourself your past of eating disorder can be an important step towards letting go.
I like what Byron Katie Said about forgiveness in her book “Loving What Is” – “You are able to forgive, when you realise that there is nothing to forgive.”
It really made me think…that I can’t hold any resentment towards my past or myself for not knowing something until I learned it.
It’s so easy for us to judge ourselves later. To look back and say: “How didn’t you see how stupid you were back then!?” But this is a very unfair way to think about yourself. You weren’t in the same position as you are now with a different mindset and different knowledge.
So forgive yourself because…there isn’t even nothing to forgive.
